I recently did an informative speech for my Speech 140 class. It was on teen smoking. There are millions of different harmful side effects of smoking including cancer of the lungs, throat, mouth, kidneys, etc... It can also hurt every organ of your body. Smoking also can cause fertility problems in both men and women. Both my parents have smoked since I can remember and I strongly hate the habit. Almost 3,000 people die from lung cancer each year, which is caused by smoking. It was a nine minute speech, a little long, but covered all the different types of diseases and health affects caused by tobacco. Remember: The easiest way to quit smoking is to never start!

This is a link to my other blog account. I've had some serious issues with this whole blog thing. But anyway, this links all my accounts together! It's sad to say that a 17 year old high school student couldn't figure out how to do a simple internet task! I've had to email Mr. Adrian several times in the course of this assignment to figure out how to use it! I thought I had finally had it down, but guess what, I was wrong! I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I managed to screw it up. Mr. Adrian thought that this would make a good blog entry to explain the anger I'm having with this program/assignment.
I was a little angry when I had spent almost an hour typing two blogs in here and when I went to look at them the next day I couldn't find them. I admit I was all sorts of angry when I thought everything I done had been erased! Luckily, Mr. Adrian could see past the stupid little mistakes I made and came up with a plan to link them together! Sorry if this confuses everyone, It's a crazy technological world out there.

Honesty...such a little word with a big meaning. I chose this as my first blog topic, becuase there is a wide range of opinions and conclusions on trust. To some people trust means everything and unfortunatly to some it also means nothing. This relates to the oral communications class because you don't want to tell someone information if you don't trust them. Also there's a barrier of conversation if you don't trust someone, you can't talk to them, or will at least have a hard time talking with them about anything of importance. To me trust makes or breaks a relationship, without it you have nothing. In every person you come in contact with you will have to trust them in some sort of way. Trust makes you communicate and it makes you express different ways of expressing yourself to others.

Hi my name is Kendra Johnson, I am a senior at Holdrege High School. I am taking the Speech 140 Oral Communications Class through CCC, to get a heads up on college life for next year. I'm planning on going to UNK next year to major in Business Administration. After that I want to go to Culinary Arts School in Denver and hopefully own my own restaurant someday. This blog thing took me a while to figure out, but I think I got it now!
